Metin Uca

Who is Metin Uca?

Born in 1961 in Istanbul, Uca studied chemical engineering, geological engineering and theatre. He started working as a reporter for the news agency, Anadolu (Anatolia) Agency, in 1987. In 1989, he began working for TRT, going on to serve as a reporter and producer on programs for TV channels such as Kanal D, Show TV, ATV and Star TV. In 1999, he came to fame working on a morning news program “Good Morning Turkey” and the quiz show “Passaparola.” He became one of Turkey’s most famous and most-loved quizmasters thanks to his stirring style in Passaparola, which has featured on various TV channels for years. In 2009, he produced and presented an evening news program “Maydanoz” that mixed news with humour. He has also performed one-man shows as well as voice overs for dubbing. He has been writing books since 2004.
